I wonder if all the Union soldiers at Fort Clinch are aware of this sign? Maybe they're like, "What's with all these strangely dressed people, asking damnfool questions!?" One of the upshots of this plenty-of-reenactors-strutting-about-to-explain-everything-to-visitors concept is that Fort Clinch is almost completely bereft of the signage to which one is accustomed when visiting such an historic locale as a starfort. As Fort Clinch was aswarm with non-period caterers setting up for some culinary event during my visit, any reenactors were nowhere to be seen, leaving me and my starforting companion pointing at things and pondering, "I wonder what that is?!"
