Let us turn from our tirade to Fort Constitution's parade ground, as seen from its southwest bastion. It seems as though the area where the First World War-era barracks must have stood is pretty obvious from the dead grass, but then that building came down around 90 years ago, so the grass has probably had ample time to rebound since then if it really wanted to. No sir, this is just a case of stubborn grass.
