Fort Dorchester's Southeastern bastion is wide open! Has the business end of that bastion fallen down and disappeared, or was there a hinged door at the end of that bastion? Actually probably not, because a bastion is a fort's strong point. Sally ports, or gates of entry, were for the most part always built into a starfort's curtain walls, the walls that connect those bastions to each other, and Fort Dorchester is of a pretty standard mid-18th-century English design. But one thing I've learned about starforts is that they're each unique, utilizing the overarching design theories of the starfort whilst bending to local requirements as needed.
