Skipping over to where one parks one's vehicle at Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site (after paying one's two dollars), there is an adorable diorama of Colonial Dorchester in its heyday. Under protective plexiglass, it is of course difficult for a photographer of my amateur stripe to get decent pictures without glare, but this didn't stop me from trying!

The nearby sign is a Dorchester Welcome Sign, which had a stamp station affixed to it! The National Park Service sells a stamp booklet, in which visitors to National Parks can collect stamped images available at all National Parks, and I am a very enthusiastic collector! Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site is not a National Park, but they had their own stamp station anyway, and I did not hesitate to besmirch my National-Parks-only book with this unauthorized image.

The other nearby sign is, Linking Places and People.
