The inside of Fort Frederick seems, though equally clean and pointy, sadly barren. The weather and time of day at which I visited (sprinkly, late afternoon, coming up on closing time) may have had something to do with this feeling, but aside from two buildings, there's virtually nothing in the fort. Other forts I've visited, such as Fort McHenry, Fort Washington and especially Fort Monroe, are veritable beehives of infrastructure and activity.
