There is no dearth of photographic opportunity as one strolls along Fort Jefferson's second tier of casemates...the gaping maw of each and every uninstalled gun embrasure perfectly frames a breathtaking slice of the unbelievably gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. Suffice it to say, I took lots of pictures. This one looks out the northeast wall toward the ruins of the North Coaling Dock.
