Something else for which I wasn't ready was its size! I've visited several hot shot furnaces in the United States and Canada, but no other comes anywhere close to the size of this monster! I sometimes take pictures from close to the ground to make an object seem more heroic and vast, but I was standing when I took this shot! The sign Red Hot Cannonballs sits helpfully next to it.
