The terreplein above Fort Jefferson's southwest wall is in a little rougher shape than that atop the rest of the walls. That's probably why this section is technically closed to visitors, which I realized only when I was leaving the closed-to-visitors section! Fortunately, I never step upon delicate starfort walls, but hover o'er them in an angelic fashion.
