The ground level of Fort King George's blockhouse consists today of two long rooms running alongside the center stairway. To the right is what appears to be a holding cell, secured with iron bars. Within this section there is this table, with this cute musket ball mold! Yes, let's be sure to give our prisoners fire in our wooden structure, right across from where we keep our gunpowder.

In the blockhouse of 1721, this lowest level was divided into three sections, partitioned for the storage of powder and munitions, as well as food and other supplies. Again, there was no stairway for access.
