On the blockhouse's second floor (also known as the Gun Room) is this neat little classroom! One doubts that so much room would be taken up by such an array of benches in olden tymes (educating the elderly troops of His Majesty's Independent Regiment can't have figured very high in His Majesty's priorities), but it sure seems like a good idea for illuminating bunches of Boy Scouts.

Two cannon, facing north and south, were operated from this level, and there were loopholes in the walls for muskets.
