"Two-Step Alley" leads along the inside of Fort Knox' walls, giving its garrison access to a series of firing loopholes for defense against enemies who may have gained access to its dry moat. I do hope this is Two-Step Alley. I saw no signs indicating it as such, but looking at a diagram of the fort in front of me now, it appears to be Two-Step Alley. So named because it was two steps wide? Folks had short legs back then.
