THE LINCOLN GUN
Cast in 1860, this was the
first 15-inch Rodman Gun. Its
range was more than four
miles. Weight of the projectile
was over 300 lbs. During the Civil
war it was used to bombard
Confederate batteries on
Sewells Point. The gun was
named for President Lincoln
in March 1862.
