On a few occasions during my starfort travels, I have liberated small bits of cactus that were growing in or near a starfort. This has led to varying results, with the cacti from Fort Monroe and Battery Jasper at Fort Moultrie proving to be perfectly happy to grow in my Virginia yard, but those from more southernly starforts as Fort Morgan have a more difficult time dealing with the concept of seasonal snow and ice. Sadly, I couldn't come up with any kind of scenario in which I might successfully relocate a small portion of Fort Pike's spectacular moss.
