Québec City seemed positively medieval to me, which of course it is not, as in medieval times the predominant form of life in Canada was the terrible Steampunk Moose, which had no use for structures such as these. I guess European is a more accurate descriptive term.

After making my way from the ferry to the Citadelle's main gate, I was met by two soldiers at a checkpoint. I was told I would not be able to drive into the fort as I had so rashly planned, but I was welcome to find a parking space (ha!) and enter the fort on foot. This picture was taken in the area I parked some blocks away, but the Citadelle is so vast, I was still parked right next to it!
